I posted on FB that we are adopting. My immediate family and most close friends already know. I even told some close colleagues at the conference I was at this weekend. I figured it was time to tell the world. At least the FB world (is there a difference?).
In other news, we continue to make progress on our paperwork. I have also made some pediatrician appointments to both find a doctor and get answers to questions we have before we make our placement preferences (i.e., raising kids with various medical issues). What do I need to know when choosing a pediatrician?

When it comes to a pediatrician I think choosing someone you feel comfortable with goes a long way. Of course if you have strong feelings about something like vaccinations you would want to make sure they are on the same page.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I made a list of about 5 pediatricians that were nearby and had gotten good reviews (online none of my friends had pediatricians close to us) and when the first one we called had space for another child we accepted the spot without even meeting him. We ended up loving him but if it hadn't worked out we would have just switched, so don't worry too much about it as nothing needs to be permanent:) Although the system here might be a bit different as well...
